The 2021 Annual Conference will be held this summer from September 21-25. Together with the Instituto Ricardo Brennand in Recife, Brazil as our host, ICOM Brasil and Federal University of Pernambuco we created an amazing program with the title Reimagine Collecting: How Collecting Can Inspire The Future. During the conference we will look into the future of collecting and how collections can be an inspiration for imagined futures. This way we have connected our program to the 2021 International Museum Day theme  “The Future of Museums: Recover and Reimagine”.

As the pandemic is still part of our reality worldwide the conference will be offered as a hybrid program. For those that can travel to Recife, our hosts at Instituto Ricardo Brennand are looking forward to welcome you in person in their amazing museum. The rest can join us for the full program online.
